Hing Hon EK-001 Squarewave Keyboard

The very first keyboard I ever opened up and started experimenting with was a Hing Hon EK-001, and it's still my all time favorite. It's an incredible semi-analog squarewave synthesizer shoved inside of a shoddily built children's toy keyboard. The stock sounds are crisp, warm, rich, harsh, heavy, piercing and everything inbetween - and the capabilities when bending this device make it one of the most versatile "toys" I've ever worked with. The EK-001 also lends itself to video bending and the option to act as an effects unit for other devices. I've modified numerous EK-001s for myself, and it has been my most requested keyboard for commissioned builds having sold 20+ to date.
